This today from Our Daily Bread.
"You yourselves have seen what I did to Egypt, and how I carried you on eagle wings and brought myself to you. Now if you will obey me fully and keep my covenant, then out of all nations you will be my treasured possession. Although the whole earth is mine, you will be for me a kingdom of priests and a Holy nation." Exodus 19:4-6
And last night reading in Victory in the Wilderness, by John Bevere.
"The Lord led you...in the wilderness, to humble you, to know what was in your heart." Duet. 8:2 The wilderness reveals the motives of our hearts - it separates the selfish from the selfless.
