...so it's a new year. a time to reflect on the past and hope for the future. i know that there are many blogs that i have read in the last few days that have talked about new resolutions, new ideas, but i've just been taking it one day at a time. i've prayed a lot just to live in the moment and to have the Holy Spirit guide my steps. to be more receptive to where He wants me to go, what He wants me to be. i've been one in the past to always worry and stress over what i should do in any given situation. He has been guiding me to rest, and frankly my stress has been very minimal. i'm liking it. i just want to enjoy where i am at and not worry whether i am doing all i can in this journey. i'm doing what i am able to at this point. He knows my heart and i can sense He is pleased with me. i am enjoying His grace, living in it.
it seems to me that others may say all the 'right' things and never do the right thing. i don't want to be all talk and not live what my words are saying. it is easy to say things on these blogs, no one will ever hold us accountable, and never really live out what we say. i'm a little distrustful of the words, in my own life and from others. in many ways i am waiting for the heart change that only He can perform.
in the hebrew language the word 'believe' has two components; one of the heart and one of action. so when i say i believe the world should be able to see that belief in my actions. i want the person who i am on the inside to be the same as the person reflected on the outside. i want my words to be backed up by my actions. i want there to be no doubt in anyone around me that i mean what i say.
