Swinging through the trees!

Did the Canopy tour today. Twelve zip lines through the tree canopy of the rain forest. (And rain is what we got.) An amazing experience, so much fun. The lines run through the jungle about 120 feet up in the air, from one tree to another. We are harnessed in and the two guys with us were very careful with us. They were joking around a lot though. We had to stop for a quiet moment of prayer before we started for the fellow they supposedly lost a few days back. Hehehe. It was raining the whole time, thundering above us. The guys were unsure whether we should continue because of lightening but luckily we did not see any of that.
It was a lot of fun just because I knew that I could trust the harness. Just like the ones that the kids use when they do their rock climbing. We were always tethered at two points. We were not allowed to touch the equipment, we had to trust them. They were very good.
It struck me that that is how God is with us. He always keeps us harnessed to himself. We need to trust that connection and let Him do the work. We can just enjoy the ride or we can fight it in our fear of where He is taking us. Sure it is a long way up, but we can soar when we trust.

Trust.

Pictures to follow when we get back.
Love you all and thank you for your prayers.

That's a good analogy. (did I spell it right??) How did it feel to feel like you were soaring through the trees?
So awesome.
