Some of you have been inquiring about my brother in law Doug and how he is doing. I thought I would let all of you know that your prayers are being felt by the family as they have much peace. His prognosis is not good though. He has about 20 spots on his brain, where they believe the cancer began. As well there is a large triangular section by his right lung. There is already indications that the cancer has disintegrated some of the bone at the base of his spine.
He has been receiving almost daily doses of radiation for the last week. If there is no improvement they have decided as a family not to continue with chemo.
This family is strong in their faith and know of the treasure that heaven promises. My sister said to me that they would be okay, but I know that it will be a hard journey for her. Please continue to pray. I am thankful that God hears and works on your behalf to bless us with His comfort.

thanks sushi for the update. it reminded me of how precious our lives are and how short. but it also give me hope to know that we can face 'death' knowing that we will recieve eternal life through Christ.
